Municipal Court

The Municipal Court of Falfurrias, Texas is the local arm of the judicial system, where traffic laws, criminal laws, and municipal ordinances are enforced, within the court’s jurisdiction. The court’s open hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Furthermore, our court’s staff works through lunch to ensure that residents are able to access services during lunch hours. Our court focuses on forms of complaints against juveniles and adults, seen below.

Administration

Traffic

Traffic tickets issued by the Falfurrias Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) are handled by the court. Inquiries on Driving Safety Courses can also be directed to the court.

Criminal

Class C misdemeanors are handled by the court, including, but not limited to assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, etc.

Municipal Ordinances

Code enforcement violations and complaints filed by our code enforcement officers, including tall grass, junked vehicles, and pet violations, amongst others.

Jurisdiction

The Falfurrias municipal judge also magistrates for defendants arrested in the City of Falfurrias and performs weddings. However, the municipal court does not handle civil lawsuits, land lord tenant cases, or small claims. 

Pay Tickets/Fines & Deferred Disposition
